only the one goldfish. Rocky my ranchu viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1499 . my guess is hes low grade but i dont care. picked him out because i liked him not because of grade. he seems to be growing fairly quickly and has a healthy appetite, i feed him hikari lionhead. Rocky is about 5cm inc tail. i really want a red cap ranchu to put with Rocky but good quality ranchu are hard to find.

Hi,

Thats good food Hikari Lionhead your feeding your ranchu with because I also feed all my Fancy Goldfish with that as well. But its a bit expensive as well because I go thru about 50 to 60 packets a year of Hikari Lionhead pellets. That food will improve colour of your fish and promotes growth as well. Also good luck with your ranchu as well.

Cheers

one thing i do know is livefish have good goldfish stock. friend of mine bought a black ranchu off them 6 months ago and hes 8-9cm now and still jet black, no loss of color at all. problem is you dont get to see the fish they pick out for you.
